As an imprint of T.H. Peek, Publisher, the team at Alice Greene & Co. has many years experience in successful book publishing. In particular, Jill Peek is an insightful developmental editor with expertise covering the full range of the publishing process, from fleshing out the book requirements and laying down a structure that will present the right level of material in the best format for the target reader, right through coaching the author, working with copy editors and proof readers, illustrators and book designers, all the way to delivering the final product from the printer. We can draw on an extended team to help with the many tasks that author and publisher need to accomplish before the book can appear at retail stores and sites.

After a manner of speaking. Yours would not be the first book that we have published, in different cases starting with completed manuscript, other times with an outline. We can help organize the material for its intended purpose, for its intended audience. We can offer support, advice, coaching during the writing and editing process, as well as professional copy editors and proof readers that can go beyond what we can do.

Are the right company for the job

We do not publish fiction. Our books have a strong “how-to” element, while being good to look at and entertaining to read. Some cover gardening and horticulture, while others bring together the best of the art world. We coordinate all the members of the team that will work on developing and delivering the book. We send sales statements and royalty checks, on time, twice a year.

Appreciate it is not a solo job

There wouldn’t be a book without you the author, but you can’t do it all alone. And although your primary working partner will be the developmental editor, there is a larger team behind her that can help with specialized tasks. You know your subject, the market for your book, and we know publishing, printing, marketing, distribution.

Our books are available at Barnes & Nobles and Amazon, at small garden and book stores as well as at libraries. We advertise online and in print, as appropriate. We organize events for talks and signings.
